What it does
- Classifies every message into Act now, Delegate, Schedule, Reference or Archive using explicit rules.
- Writes a one-line next action for each item, starting with a verb and naming the owner.
- Flags money, legal, customer-complaint and deadline items so they are never buried.
- Groups duplicate threads and follow-ups so the same issue is handled once.
- Suggests which senders or newsletters to filter or unsubscribe from to shrink future backlogs.
- Produces a short "do these first" list ordered by impact and deadline.

- 1
Download your skill (from the skill's page or My orders) and unzip it.
How do I unzip the download?
- Windows: right-click the downloaded file (it ends in .zip) → Extract All → Extract. A normal folder opens.
- Mac: double-click the .zip file. A normal folder appears next to it.
- Can't find the download? Look in your Downloads folder, or download it again from My orders.
- 2
Open ChatGPT. In the left sidebar click New project and name it after the skill.
- 3
Open the project's Instructions, paste in everything from SKILL.md, and save. If the folder also has a knowledge folder, add those files to the project too.
How do I copy what's inside SKILL.md?
- Open the unzipped folder and find the file called SKILL.md.
- Windows: right-click it → Open with → Notepad. Mac: right-click it → Open With → TextEdit.
- Press Ctrl + A then Ctrl + C to copy everything (Mac: ⌘ + A then ⌘ + C).

Use the inbox-triage skill. Here is what I need: <describe your task and paste any details, like a list or a document>
You're done when: ChatGPT asks for anything it's missing, then works through the job step by step. Every new chat in this project uses the skill.
Want to share it with your team? Create a custom GPT instead: paste SKILL.md into Configure → Instructions and add any extra files under Knowledge.
Inputs and outputs
Input
The messages: sender, subject or first line, date, and body (pasted, exported or summarised). Today's date and the user's role, so deadlines and ownership make sense. Team members available for delegation and what each handles (optional; if missing, write "Delegate to [OWNER]"). Current priorities or goals this week (optional). If messages are truncated or ambiguous, mark them "Needs reading" rather than guessing the content.
Output
Act now: [n] (~[x] min) | Delegate: [n] | Schedule: [n] | Reference: [n] | Archive: [n] 1. [Action] — [sender/subject] — [why urgent] - Reference: [list]
